Central Bank of India (CBI) has opened more than 12 lakh accounts under financial inclusion in Madhya Pradesh (MP) State. Under Financial Inclusion, all the 2,736 unbanked villages with population above 2,000 have been covered.
Central Bank of India has informed it in its 147th meeting of State Level Bankers’ Committee, Madhya Pradesh which was held on June 06, 2012 at the Zonal Office of the bank.
Central Bank of India was the first Indian commercial bank which was wholly owned and managed by Indians. Central Bank of India holds a very prominent place among the Public Sector Banks on account of its network of 3656 branches and 178 extension counters at various centers throughout the length and breadth of the country.
