L&T surges with Hydrocarbon Division bagging order worth Rs 1,700 crore from KOC

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1245.60, up by 19.20 points or 1.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 1226.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1229.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1246.00 and Rs. 1229.95 respectively. So far 33885 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1246.00 on 20-Sep-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 863.97 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1246.00 and Rs. 1200.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 171762.91 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.33% and 42.67%, stake in the company, respectively.

L&T’s Hydrocarbon Division has bagged a major pipeline contract with a value close to Rs 1,700 crore from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of a new 48' Crude Transit Line (TL-5) from North Kuwait to Ahmadi. The completion of the project is scheduled in the third quarter of 2020.

The order was won against stiff international competitive bidding which reinforces L&T’s unique capability to deliver design to build engineering and construction solutions across the hydrocarbon spectrum. L&T is currently executing Gathering Centre-30 (GC-30) project for Kuwait Oil Company.
