TVS Motor Company signs Anushka Sharma as brand ambassador

TVS Motor Company, two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer has roped in actor Anushka Sharma as the brand ambassador of its Scooty range. The bollywood actress will be the face of all brand campaigns related to the Scooty brand. The company has strengthens the brand's commitment to its target audience - youth with this association. Prior to this Sharma had done a campaign for the TVS Scooty brand in 2005. Before this, TVS Scooty Pep brand was endorsed by actors Preity Zinta and Trisha.

The company’s total sales volume for the May month has dipped by 5.34% as compared to the corresponding period of 2011. The company registered 176,012 units in May 2012 against 185,930 units in May 2011. Company's exports dipped by 12.7% in May 2012 to 22817 units against 26168 units in the corresponding month of the previous year. Its two-wheelers segment sales fell by 438% at 173,092 units as compared to 181891 units Company’s three-wheelers slipped 28% to 2,920 units last month against 4039 units in May, 2011.
