Power Grid trades higher on the bourses

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 212.70, up by 2.95 points or 1.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 209.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 210.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 213.20 and Rs. 209.90 respectively. So far 23045 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.40 on 08-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 167.40 on 09-Nov-2016.

Power Grid Corporation of India will commence commercial operations of 1,500 MW second pole of Champa-Kurukshetra high-voltage direct current line. The company has successfully completed trial operations of transmission system and the pole would soon be put to commercial operations after seeking regulator’s approval. This is likely to improve power supplies to Northern India.
