PFC surges on getting nod to raise up to Rs 65,000 crore on private placement basis

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is currently trading at Rs. 127.20, up by 1.30 points or 1.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 125.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 126.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 128.30 and Rs. 123.85 respectively. So far 195881 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 169.00 on 11-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 103.30 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 136.30 and Rs. 125.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 33661.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.35%, while institutions and non-institutions held 28.24% and 5.41% respectively.

PFC has received approval from shareholders to raise up to Rs 65,000 crore through issuance of securities on private placement basis. The shareholders have approved the proposal with requisite majority at its Annual General Meeting held on September 20, 2017. The company will raise funds through issue of bonds/debentures/notes/debt securities on private placement basis in India and/or outside India.
