Eicher Motors Ltd.

Eicher Motors’ joint venture (JV) with Volvo Group VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported sales of 6,083 units in September 2017, a rise of 25.6 per cent as compared to 4,843 units sold in September last year.

The company has sold 5,934 units of Eicher brand last month compared with 4,734 units in the year-ago period. Domestic sales stood at 5,084 units and exports stood at 850 units.

Volvo Trucks has recorded sales of 149 units last month compared with 109 units in September 2016.

VE Commercial, in operation since July 2008, comprises the complete range of Eicher branded trucks and buses, VE Powertrain, Eicher’s components and engineering design services businesses as well as the sales and distribution business of Volvo trucks within India.
