M&M gains on inaugurating construction equipment dealership in Ongole

M&M is currently trading at Rs. 686.80, up by 3.70 points or 0.54% from its previous closing of Rs. 683.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 684.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 693.90 and Rs. 684.60 respectively. So far 29522 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 874.75 on 28-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 617.00 on 20-Jun-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 699.40 and Rs. 675.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 42364.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.26% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 47.21% and 21.95% respectively. 

Business conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has opened its dealership for construction equipment in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. This dealership will begin marketing and servicing the backhoe loader and offer demos. Mahindra Construction Equipment has three dealerships serving to the Andhra Pradesh market, after opening of this dealership. Other two dealerships are headquartered in Hyderabad and Kadapa.

In February 2011, M&M entered the construction equipment industry with introducing Mahindra EarthMaster Backhoe Loader. It aims to modify the earthmoving industry by providing customers the choice to break free from the limitations of old technology.

Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s leading SUV manufacturer reported 28% increase in its auto sales numbers, which stood at 43988 units during May 2012 as against 34323 units during May 2011. It has reported 24% rise in its domestic sales at 39938 units during May 2012, as against 32159 units during May 2011.
