Bharti Airtel eyes to phase out its 3G services in two years: Report

Date: 18-10-2017

In order to cut cost, Bharti Airtel is reportedly looking to phase out its 3G services in two years. The telco is seeking to shift 3G users to 4G via a VoLTE communication standard within the next few months.

VoLTE standard helps reduce costs for telcos and also offers better customer experience. As of now, Airtel offers VoLTE services only in Mumbai.

Bharti Airtel is a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 17 countries across Asia and Africa.
