KPIT Cummins, IT consulting and product engineering company, has slashed travel cost by 15% and communication cost by 35% annually. The company took this initiative as a result of cost savings by using Lync 2010 and Exchange 2010 for collaboration among employees.

KPIT Cummins has reported a rise of 66.01% at Rs 43.71 crore in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 26.33 crore in the same period last fiscal.
