NALCO bestowed with performance excellence award

National Aluminium Company (NALCO), Navaratna PSU has been awarded with the prestigious performance excellence award for 2010-11 by Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), Mumbai. The award had been presented to the company during the inaugural function of the 16th CEOs Conference in Udaipur over the weekend.

NALCO, for the quarter ended March 31, 2012, posted a fall of 7.59% in its net profit at Rs 282.10 crore as compared to Rs 305.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income has increased by 1.25% at Rs 1943.88 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1919.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
