Bajaj Auto, country’s second largest two-wheeler maker is planning to increase production of its Pulsar and Discover bikes over the next quarter. It expects a heavy demand for new Pulsar 200NS and Discover 125 ST in the coming months.

The company aims to produce five million bikes and commercial vehicles from its three facilities in the current fiscal. The Pulsar and Discover range, which includes the two new tech-loaded siblings, is expected to earn a major market share.

Company’s monthly sales (excluding exports) for May 2012 dipped by 2% at 3,52,219 units against 3,58,849 in the same month last year. However, the exports for the month rose 3% and the numbers of units sold were 1,30,573 units against 1,26,818 in the same period last year.
