Tata Motors moves up on reporting 23% growth in global wholesales in December

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 437.40, up by 0.85 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 436.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 438.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 439.40 and Rs. 435.00 respectively. So far 68742 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 553.00 on 27-Jan-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 357.95 on 11-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 443.55 and Rs. 426.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 125975.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 36.37%, while institutions and non-institutions held 37.88% and 8.94% respectively.

Tata Motors Group global wholesales in December 2017, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 1,16,677 units, higher by 23%, over December 2016. Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in December 2017 were at 47,182 units, higher by 53%, over December 2016.

Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in December 2017 were at 69,495 units, higher by 8%, compared to December 2016. Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 55,066 vehicles. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 16,826 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 38,240 vehicles.
