GlaxoSmithkline Consumer’s Q2 net profit surges 15%

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare has reported unaudited results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company’s profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 has rose by 14.93% at Rs 82.46 crore as compared to Rs 71.75 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income has grown by 21.92% at Rs 689.35 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 565.41 crore for the same quarter last year.

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare’s core business is manufacturing of health drinks under the brand Horlicks. It exports products to countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Middle East, Fiji, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan and many more.
