M&M strengthens with its Auto Sector registering 32% growth in January sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is currently trading at Rs. 784.35, up by 20.90 points or 2.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 763.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 765.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 790.00 and Rs. 765.00 respectively. So far 2,97,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 790.00 on 01-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 612.50 on 27-Sep-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 790.00 and Rs. 754.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 97,516.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 21.61% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.09% and 24.13% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) Auto Sector has sold 52,048 vehicles in January 2018, as against 39,386 vehicles during January 2017, to register a growth of around 32%.

The company’s domestic sales stood at 49,432 vehicles during January 2018, as against 37,115 vehicles during January 2017, registering a growth of 33%. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 1,049 vehicles for the month, registering an impressive growth of 70%. Meanwhile, exports for January 2018 stood at 2,616 vehicles, a growth of 15%.
