-65.00 (-1.69%) Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T’s) construction arm -- L&T Construction -- has won orders worth Rs 1521 crore across various business segments.
The company’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business has secured an order worth Rs 1396 crore from the West Bengal Highway Development Corporation (WBHDCL) for the construction of a six-lane extra-dosed bridge across the river Hooghly besides existing Iswar Gupta Setu at Kalyani, West Bengal. The entire length of the project is 21 km which consists of a six-lane extra-dosed bridge of 714m, widening of the existing road corridor into a 4/6 lane divided carriageway and an elevated corridor of about 20 km.
The Smart World Communication Business Unit of the company has bagged an order worth Rs 125 crore from Jharkhand Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (JAPIT) for the implementation of ‘Jharkhand State Wide Area Network (SWAN) 2.0 - JHARNET 2.0’. The scope involves creation and up-gradation of core network infrastructure of JAPIT for supporting e-Governance initiatives, which includes servers, network switches, routers, network management system and integration with other government networks across the state of Jharkhand.
