L&T Construction, the wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has secured new orders worth over Rs 1,523 crore from various business segments in June 2012. The company’s Building & Factories IC has bagged orders worth Rs 546 crore from reputed customers for the construction of commercial building and factory structures including additional orders in various ongoing jobs.
The Infrastructure IC has secured orders worth Rs 225 crore for the railway construction works consisting of doubling between Hospet to Harlapur on Hubli division of Southern Western Railway. This also includes orders for additional works in various ongoing infrastructure projects.
Meanwhile, the company’s Water and Effluent Treatment division, Solar Business and Power Transmission and Distribution IC division have bagged orders worth Rs 134 crore, Rs 125 crore and Rs 195 crore respectively.
Recently, L&T Construction secured new orders worth over Rs 1,002 crore across various business segments in June. The Power Transmission and Distribution IC secured new orders in both domestic and international markets.
