Tata Steel gains on inking agreement to hike stake in SPPL

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 603.55, up by 1.85 points or 0.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 601.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 609.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 610.00 and Rs. 602.40 respectively. So far 177119 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 747.25 on 31-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 403.41 on 05-May-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 610.00 and Rs. 569.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 86951.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.59% and 21.58% respectively.

Tata Steel has entered into a definitive agreement to subscribe to additional 4.19% equity shares of Subamarekha Port (SPPL) on April 09, 2018. Following such subscription, Tata Steel shall hold an aggregate of 7.06% of the equity share capital of SPPL.

Earlier, the company had executed definitive agreement for development of SPPL and acquisition of 51% equity shares of Creative Port Development (CPDPL). In March 2017, Tata Steel had subscribed to 3% equity shares in SPPL.
