Physical rubber prices made a mixed closing on Wednesday
Date: 05-07-2012Physical rubber prices made a mixed closing on Wednesday due to weak atmosphere, resulting from the negative reports of domestic and international futures and the disturbance in tapping after overnight monsoon rains in plantation areas.
Spot prices for RSS- 4 variety closed at Rs 187/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 187.50/ kg, while RSS- 5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 181.50/ kg.
In the futures market, the contract of RSS- 4 of July delivery dropped to Rs 185.62 compared to its previous close of Rs 187.64, while contract of August delivery closed at Rs. 185.51 compared to its previous close of Rs. 187.47 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
