Tata Power’s arm undertakes several green initiatives

Tata Power’s - subsidiary - Coastal Gujarat Power (CGPL), which is implementing its 4000 MW Mundra Ultra Mega Power Project, has undertaken several green initiatives to conserve the environment in and around it’s project site. In a recent campaign towards reduction in usage of plastic bags in the Mundra region, CGPL conducted an educational session for its employees, including workmen, families and villagers, to create awareness on the harmful impact of plastic bags on the environment.

Besides in CGPL’s Ashiyana Township, currently accommodating around 165 members and contractual workers, a no-plastic campaign has been initiated. An appeal has been made to the families of employees, including workmen, by the CGPL administration team to stop using plastic carry bags and opt for eco-friendly and biodegradable bags.
