Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has registered 6.3% rise in natural gas production to 23.484 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2017-18 as against 22.088 bcm in 2016-17. This is the highest gas output by the company in five years and the growth rate is higher than the global average of 3-4 per cent year-on-year. The company is on track to double the output by 2022.

ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
