-3.20 (-1.24%) Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) is planning to offer at least 10-20 percent of its 1.5 lakh tower assets to telecom operators, with an aim to leverage its tower infrastructure. The company has already approached the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for approval on the same.
PGCIL is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
