-9.70 (-2.74%) Tata Motors, country’s largest automotive company, is planning to source the auto components from China, which are not available in the Indian auto market. The company is approaching China for the same as it is likely to manufacture vehicles with automatic transmission in the domestic market.
The company’s total sales including exports of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in June 2012 were 64,341 vehicles, lower by 3% over June 2011. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for June 2012 were 58,270 units against 61,266 units sold in June last year, lower by 5%.
