Geojit BNP Paribas in jubilant mood on reporting 33% jump in Q1 net profit

Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services is currently trading at Rs. 21.20, up by 1.20 points or 6.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 20.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 21.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 21.85 and Rs. 21.10 respectively. So far 66119 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 24.90 on 05-Jul-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 14.05 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 21.85 and Rs. 19.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 485.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.58% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.46% and 34.96% respectively.  

Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The company has posted a rise of 33.48% in its net profit at Rs 6.10 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4.57 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income has decreased marginally by 3.98% at Rs 44.36 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 46.20 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
