Maruti Suzuki India is planning to add another 7.5 lakh units manufacturing capacity from three production lines in Gujarat plant by 2020, to further expand production capacity beyond 22.5 lakh units per annum.

The company’s first assembly line at Hansalpur (Gujarat) plant has already started rolling out products with a production capacity of 2.5 lakh units per annum, while the second production line with similar 2.5 lakh production capacity, is expected to be complete by this year-end. After that the company is planning a third factory by around 2020.

Maruti Suzuki India (formerly known as Maruti Udyog) is an automobile manufacturer in India. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
