-21.25 (-4.83%) Coal India’s subsidiary company -- Western Coalfields -- has achieved record production 9.643 million tonne of coal during the first quarter, registering a growth of over 18%. The company has dispatched over 13 million tonne during this period, which is growth of 22.2% over the same period last year.
The daily production has crossed 1 lakh tonne, daily dispatch touched 1.50 lakh tonne and the available stock touched over 7.6 million tonne in the mines.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
