Hindalco Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Utkal Alumina International -- is all set to complete the 500-kilotonne expansion, involving a capital outlay of Rs 1,300 crore in coming 30 months.

The company will complete the expansion plan fast and Utkal plant remains the most efficient producer of alumina globally and continues to provide strong support to upstream aluminium business.

Hindalco Industries is an industry leader in aluminium and copper. The company’s aluminium units across the country encompass the entire gamut of operations from bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting to downstream rolling, extrusions, foils and alloy wheels, along with captive power plants and coal mines.
