Physical rubber prices improve on Thursday

Physical rubber prices improved on Thursday, initially the prices were supported by the gains in the domestic futures, though the future markets witnessed decline in late trade but the spot prices remained firm on limited supplies.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 210.50/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs209/kg, while the contract for RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 206.50/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 206/kg.

In futures market the contract of RSS-4 for the August delivery slipped to Rs 210.89 from its previous closing of Rs 211.61, while the contract for September delivery closed at Rs 210.95 compared to its previous closing of Rs 211.25 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
