21.15 (1.73%) JSW Steel will double the capacity of Dolvi unit in Maharashtra to 10 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) by the end of 2019. The estimated cost for the said expansion will be of Rs 15,000 crore.
The company is installing a new integrated 5 million tonnes capacity flat steel plant at Dolvi. Work is going on and is likely to be completed by December 2019.
Besides, the company had environmental clearances to increase the capacity of the Vijaynagar plant from 12 million tonnes to 16 million tonnes, while at Dolvi, from 5 million tonnes to 10 million tonnes.
JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
