-7.00 (-0.12%) Britannia Industries has reportedly set up a greenfield manufacturing facility in Rampur, Assam at an investment of Rs 200 crore. The company has already two manufacturing units in Assam with a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes annually. In the three units in Assam, the company has invested around Rs 350 crore.
The Rampur facility will produce a various range of Britannia products with a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of biscuits annually. This unit is going to cater extensively in Assam and the north-eastern states.
Britannia Industries, one of the India’s biggest brands of the country, has a market share of over 33%. More-than-a-century old Britannia has launched big brands in FMCG Segment. The company is expanding its customer base by launching new products and renovating existing ones.
