Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) and Reliance Communications (RCom) are signing agreement for change in Spectrum Allotment in 800 MHz band across 22 Circles from RCom to Jio. Spectrum referred to under this agreement does not include any of the spectrum covered in the master agreement entered into between the companies on December 28, 2017.

The acquisition of right to use this Spectrum will further expand Jio’s spectrum holding and enable Jio to enhance its network capacity.

RIL is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
