Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio -- has ranked as the top company globally on Fortune’s ‘Change the World’ list that ranked companies using the profit motive to tackle social problems and help the planet. Jio is ranked ahead of pharma giant Merck and Bank of America.

RIL is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
