NHPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia's largest power generating Company --JSC RusHydro-- on May 23, 2011 for co-operation on case-to-case basis in Hydropower projects in India and other countries.

NHPC is a hydroelectric power generating company dedicated to the planning, development and implementation of an integrated and efficient network of hydroelectric projects in India. It executes all aspects of the development of hydroelectric projects, from concept to commissioning.
