Godawari Power trades higher on the bourses

Godawari Power & Ispat is currently trading at Rs. 532.00, up by 9.00 points or 1.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 523.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 529.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 542.85 and Rs. 528.65 respectively. So far 40751 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 623.00 on 29-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 108.90 on 28-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 542.85 and Rs. 450.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1878.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.36%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.51% and 28.12% respectively.

Godawari Power & Ispat’s Associate Company -- Jagdamba Power and Alloys (JPAL) -- has resumed power generation. The 25 MW Power Plant of Jagdamba Power and Alloys situated in Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur (C.G.) has been connected to the company's Integrated Steel Plant.

The entire power generated by JPAL shall be captively consumed in the company's Integrated Steel Plant to optimize its capacity utilization in Steel Billets Plant which is currently operating at 50% to 60% utilization.

Godawari Power & Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business. GPIL is a flagship company of Raipur-based Hira Group of Industries, which is an integrated steel manufacturer and is having dominant presence in the long product segment of the steel industry; mainly into mild steel wire.
