M&M’s Auto Sector registers 14% growth in August sales

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) Auto Sector has sold 48,324 vehicles in August 2018, compared to 42,207 vehicles during August 2017, a growth of 14%. The domestic sales stood at 45,373 vehicles during August 2018, registering a growth of 15%.

In the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) the company sold 19,758 vehicles, a rise of 2% and in the commercial vehicle segment, the company sold 20,326 vehicles, a 25% growth. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, M&M sold 1,148 vehicles for the month of August 2018. Exports stood at 2,951 vehicles for the month, a growth of 14%.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
