Coal India trades in green on the BSE

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 279.20, up by 1.70 points or 0.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 277.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 279.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 282.50 and Rs. 277.60 respectively. So far 61323 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 316.55 on 27-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 248.20 on 22-Sep-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 291.00 and Rs. 272.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 173435.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 78.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.60% and 3.08% respectively.

Coal India has increased the coal supply to NTPC's Kahalgaon and Farakka power plants as the units were operating at higher than the targeted level, resulting in additional consumption of fuel. Both the plants have generated 9.795 billion units against the target of 9.191 billion units during April-July 2018.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
