L&T strengthens with construction arm bagging orders worth Rs 2,048 crore

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1348.85, up by 4.60 points or 0.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 1344.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1344.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1350.50 and Rs. 1340.40 respectively. So far 54321 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1469.60 on 01-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1124.50 on 23-Oct-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1365.00 and Rs. 1320.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 188987.85 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 57.79%, while Institutions held at 42.21%.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T Construction has won orders worth Rs 2,048 crore across two business segments. The Power Transmission and Distribution Business has secured EPC orders worth Rs 1,633 crore. The business has secured a major order for a Main Plant Electrical Package units 3 and 4 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project. Other prestigious orders have been won to build a 400/220kV Gas Insulated Substation in Andhra Pradesh Capital Region and a 230kV Gas Insulated Substation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Besides, the Water and Effluent Treatment Business has won an order worth Rs 415 crore. The order has been secured from Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for providing underground sewerage scheme to Kurichi and Kuniyamuthur area of Coimbatore. The scope of the project includes laying of sewer pipelines of 450 km, construction of RCC manholes, 30 pumping and lifting stations and providing house sewer connections to 69,500 households.
