SBI soars on raising $650 million via green bond issue

State Bank of India (SBI) is currently trading at Rs. 278.80, up by 7.40 points or 2.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 271.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 274.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 279.35 and Rs. 274.35 respectively. So far 798258 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 351.50 on 26-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 232.00 on 27-Apr-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 291.45 and Rs. 270.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 248103.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.47%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.88% and 7.65% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) has raised funds through issue of $650 Mio Green Senior Unsecured Fixed Rate Notes having maturity of 5 years and coupon of 4.5 percent payable semiannually. The Bonds will be issued through its London branch as of September 28, 2018 and shall be listed on Singapore Stock Exchange and India International Exchange, GIFT City.

SBI is the country’s largest lender and it offers a wide range of services in the Personal Banking, Agriculture/ Rural, NRI services, SME and Corporate Banking etc.
