DMC Education to acquire Kolkata based education management consultancy for Rs 45 million

DMC Education’s board has decided to acquire leading Kolkata based education management consultancy firm Plansteps for a total consideration of Rs 45 million. The acquisition of Plansteps by DMC Education is by far one of the biggest acquisitions in the field of education consulting in India.

The company’s decision to acquire Plansteps is primarily aimed at taking Career Counseling pan India which the acquired company offers and specializes for. Pursuant to this acquisition, the company will have a ready network of offices of Plansteps in the seven sister states of India as well as Nepal, Bhutan covering the entire eastern part of India.

The company has set a road map of expansion and plans to take the counseling services pan India. The company is also eying to open more than 100 centers in next 3-5 years which would offer career guidance to the applicants.
