Hindustan Unilever spurts on reporting stellar Q1 numbers

Hindustan Unilever is currently trading at Rs 459.65, up by 16.80 points or 3.79% from its previous closing of Rs 442.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 450.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 462.25 and Rs 450.00 respectively. So far 476470 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 464.00 on 22-Jun-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 308.80 on 08-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 462.25 and Rs 441.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 99096.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.94% and 17.56% respectively.

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has registered a surge of 112.26% in its net profit at Rs 1331.19 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 627.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Moreover, the total income of the company has increased by 16.99% at Rs 6597.38 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 5639.46 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
