L&T gains with construction arm bagging orders worth Rs 1,881 crore

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is currently trading at Rs. 1233.45, up by 4.15 points or 0.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 1229.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1231.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1244.00 and Rs. 1203.50 respectively. So far 1,74,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1,469.60 on 01-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1,124.50 on 23-Oct-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1293.45 and Rs. 1203.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,73,341.68 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 57.79%, while Non-Institutions held 42.21% stake in the company.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T Construction’s Power Transmission & Distribution Business has received EPC orders worth Rs 1,881 crore. The business has secured major orders for constructing 22 132/11kV Substations in the State of Kuwait.

On the domestic front, orders were secured for implementation of a High Voltage Distribution System in the semi-urban and rural areas of Kharagpur and Midnapur in West Bengal.

Additional orders have been received from ongoing Transmission Line projects in India and Egypt.
