Maruti Suzuki strengthens on selling over 24,000 units of Ciaz during H1FY19

Maruti Suzuki India is currently trading at Rs. 6975.00, up by 283.10 points or 4.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 6691.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 6735.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 6992.00 and Rs. 6720.60 respectively. So far 44360 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 10000.00 on 20-Dec-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 6650.00 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 7,278.40 and Rs. 6650.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 208874.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.21%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.35% and 7.44% respectively.

Maruti Suzuki’s new Ciaz is India’s highest selling premium sedan in first half of 2018-19. The company has sold over 24,000 units of Ciaz during April-September 2018- 19. Currently, Ciaz accounts for 28.8% market share in the premium sedan segment. The new Ciaz was launched in August 2018 and has received a blockbuster customer response with over 10,000 bookings in the first month itself.
