3.80 (1.09%) Tata Motors has launched its new premium car Aria 4x2. The Tata Aria 4x2 range will be available from Rs 11.85 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The car is a new addition to Tata’s range of premium luxury cars and is a combination of a sedan and an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) blended into one.
The said car range will be available in three trim levels - Aria Prestige, Aria Pleasure and Aria Pure. It will have features like 2.2 litre Direct Injection Common Rail (DICOR) engine, with variable turbine technology and 32-bit ECU delivers 140 PS power and 320 Nm torque. It is equipped with a dual mass flywheel which isolates torsional vibrations from the powertrain, thus providing a NVH free environment in the cabin.
The Tata Aria range along with the 4x2 range is being made available, in 85 cities through 150 showrooms in phase I. The Tata Aria is already available in four-wheel drive, launched in October 2010.
Recently, the company had reported total sales during July, 2011, to 63,761 units from 67,800 units in the same month of 2010 recording a decline of 5.96%. The firm's total passenger vehicles sales in the domestic market stood at 17,192 units in July, a fall of 38.30% from 27,865 units in the same month last year.
