Coal India has informed about the Cessation and Re-appointment of 5 Independent Directors of the Company. Loretta M Vas, Vinod Jain, Dr. D.C.Panigrahi, Prof. Khanindra Pathak and Dr. S.B. Agnihotri was appointed by Ministry of Coal Vide its letter no. 21/15/2014-ASO (Part-ll) dated 17th November 2015 for a period of 3 years. On completion of their tenure on 16th November 2018, they ceased to be the Independent Directors of the company’s Board. Further, Ministry of Coal vide its letter no. 21/33/2018-BA dated 17th November 2018 has reappointed them as Independent Directors on the Board of CIL for a period of one year with effect from 17th November 2018 or until further orders whichever is earlier.
