JSW Steel is undertaking a major reorientation of its operations as well as product mix in a bid to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and align with the country's climate change priorities. The company is focusing on environment friendly products for packaging, electrical and appliance sectors.

Among other initiatives, on operational front, the company setting up a 40 tonnes per hour (TPH) granulated slag crusher to double its current daily slag sand production to replace natural river sand in construction.

JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
