Coal India advances on reporting 52.09 MT of coal production in November

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 251.10, up by 6.80 points or 2.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 244.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 246.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 251.55 and Rs. 245.45 respectively. So far 434112 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 316.55 on 27-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 239.55 on 30-Nov-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 258.50 and Rs. 239.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 155868.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 78.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.70% and 2.98% respectively.

Coal India has reported provisional coal production of 52.09 million tonnes (MT) in November 2018, as against 51.26 MT reported during corresponding month of previous year. The company’s total off-take for the month of November stood at 51.01 MT, as against 50.71 MT in November 2017.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
