Reliance Industries Ltd.

Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) -- has extended the term of the definitive agreement for the acquisition of specified assets of Reliance Communications (RCOM) and its affiliates to 28th June 2019.

The acquisition is subject to receipt of requisite approvals from Governmental and regulatory authorities, consents from all lenders, release of all encumbrances on the said assets and other conditions precedent.

Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
