L&T rises with construction arm bagging orders worth Rs 1,060 crore

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1427.00, up by 0.60 points or 0.04 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1426.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1426.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1428.20 and Rs. 1410.35 respectively. So far 26056 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1469.60 on 01-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1183.40 on 23-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1450.00 and Rs. 1408.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 199528.94 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.57% and 42.44% stake respectively, in the company.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T Construction has won orders worth Rs 1,060 crore. The Smart World and Communication business has secured a major order from the Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet (APSFL) for Bharatnet Phase-II works to establish an IPMPLS Infrastructure covering the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The scope of the work involves the creation of a digital infrastructure-including-implementation, end to-end integration and commissioning of IP/MPLS Network, Network Operating Centre (NOC), Disaster Recovery, Cloud-based Data Centre (DC) with key network elements such as NMS/EMS/BSS, Access Gateways and other related services including storage/ servers, network security etc.

Another order has been secured from Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City for the creation of a City Network Backbone and implementation of smart elements such as Wi-Fi, Smart Kiosks and Variable message displays across the city. The business has been making significant progress across several major Indian cities by creating smart solutions and this is the 11th Smart City Project being implemented as a master system integrator.
