Power Grid’s arm commissions Salem-Madhugiri transmission line

Power Grid Corporation of India’s wholly owned subsidiary POWERGRID NM Transmission has successfully commissioned the Salem-Madhugiri 765 kV, S/C transmission line on January 29, 2019. POWERGRID NM Transmission was secured through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).

The other transmission line under the project namely, Nagapattinam Pooling Station - Salem 765kV D/C Line had been commissioned on January 23, 2019. With the commissioning of Salem-Madhugiri 765 kV S/C transmission line, the project namely, 'Transmission System associated with the IPPs of Nagapattinam / Cuddalore Area - package A' has been completed by POWERGRID NM Transmission.
