Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has sold 12.74 crore shares or 2.01% stake in Reliance Industries (RIL). Post disposal, its holding has been reduced to 7.263% from 9.273%.

Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
