Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has made deferred payment of over Rs 1,053 crore to the department of Telecom towards its spectrum dues. The deferred payment is for the installment for spectrum bought in auctions.

Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
